Privacy Policy

Union is a private space for two people. That only works if you can trust us with what you write, so we've kept this policy short, honest, and in plain language.

Where we are today

Union hasn't launched yet. Right now, the only thing we collect through this website is your email address, if you choose to join the waitlist. We use it to tell you when Union launches and to share occasional updates about the product. Nothing else — no tracking pixels in our emails beyond standard delivery reporting, no purchased lists, no lookalike audiences.

We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics on this site to understand how many people visit. It does not use cookies and does not identify you personally.

Measuring which posts bring people in. When you arrive here from one of our social posts, we record that visit so we can see which posts are working. To avoid counting the same person over and over, we create a one-way fingerprint from your IP address, your browser type, and the date — and we store only that fingerprint, never your IP address or browser details themselves. The fingerprint changes every day and can’t be turned back into anything that identifies you. We don’t use it to track you across the web or across days, and we don’t sell or share it. We delete the fingerprint a couple of days later. Your browser also keeps a small “already counted” note so we don’t re-count a refresh.

When the app launches

When you use Union as a couple, we will store what you put into it: your journal entries, voice notes, photos, milestones, and account details. That's the product — your shared history, kept safe. Here is what we promise about it:

• Your partner never sees your drafts. Reflections stay private until you choose to reveal them, and anything you mark private stays private — even after a reveal.
• You can export or delete everything, anytime. Your history belongs to you. If you delete it, it's gone from our systems.
• Your entries are never used to train AI. Not ours, not anyone's.
• Your data is never sold. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Our only revenue is the keepsake book you choose to buy.

Who processes data for us

We keep our list of service providers short. Today it is:

• Postmark — delivers our transactional emails (like the waitlist welcome). They receive your email address in order to send you mail on our behalf.
• Our hosting and database providers — store and serve the website and, once launched, the app's data. All storage is access-controlled and used only to run Union.

None of our providers may use your data for their own purposes.

Leaving the waitlist

Email us and we'll remove you, promptly and completely. Every email we send will also include a way to opt out.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any meaningful way — especially before launch, when the app starts handling journal entries — we'll update this page and note the new date at the top. We will never quietly weaken the promises above.
